Dear Madam/Sir,

Our season has been a great and exciting learning curve for everyone. Being the first season where we were fully active from the start of the year, we understandably encountered challenges at particular points in the season. Some fixtures did not always pan out as envisioned, and we had to learn lessons for the future.

However, the season was an overall success. The boys played with a hunger that made us all proud. Both academy teams were a fantastic advert for development rugby. We further had memorable experiences, including playing Grey High, Framesby, Selborne and Graeme College. These are major rugby schools, and the matches created valuable opportunities for our boys.

The boys have also benefited from boots, two brand-new kits and golf shirts. In addition, the 60 boys who formed part of the Under-16 and Under-19 squads will receive full tracksuits.

Our historic leagues ran extremely well. Matches were played in great spirit, and the competition and talent were clear for all to see. We also hosted a medic’s course for young girls. More than 90% passed the course and are now eligible to serve as first aiders, gaining a useful skill with economic value. Our coaches will also attend a full coaching development programme to strengthen their skills.

The Olutsha season as a whole has been a major success.

Please note that the season officially concludes this coming Saturday. We will be at George Randall High School Sports Field from 09h30 for the following activities:

10h00 — Final of the B-League. 11h00 — Tracksuit handover. 12h00 — Medics certificates handover. 12h30 — Third-place playoff: Olutsha Sports BCMM Urban League. 13h45 — Final: Olutsha Sports BCMM Urban League. 15h00 — Friendly match: Olutsha Wolves vs West Bank Old Boys.
